There are some suggestions on use of Javascript to break out of the frames near the bottom of the page.
Our Major Issues:
- Sidewiki comments are automatically posted with no prior moderation.
- Web site owners have no power to moderate comments
- Links are allowed in comments, that can lead visitors off the original site. Thousands and thousands of web sites that that have little or no maintenance will become fertile ground for link spam.
- Site owners have no way to Opt-In or Out of the program
We could support Sidewiki under these conditions:
- All participating sites must specifically Opt-in
- All comments must be approved by site owners before they can be published.
- Absolutely no off-site links.
- Social network sites like Facebook, Myspace must be opted out entirely.
